The problems of teaching the subject of economics in Lithuanian general education system are identified in this paper and the peculierities of theoretical and practical economics teaching by different Lithuanian and foreign authors are analysed here. The analysis of economical documents of the Ministry of Education is fully evaluated as well as today's state of Lithuanian school and the problems which are faced by educational institutions while administrating the subject of economics . A quize for the students who study economics at schools and universities is fulflled as it was tried to investigate the quality of teaching economics. With the help of the interview method the analysis of 5 experts and the teachers of economics was carried out as well as the investigation of the gymnasium documents. The hypothesis of the research is formulated where it is stated that because of the insfficient teaching of economics in Lithuanian schools there is insufficient literacy of economics among the school-leavers. |
