| Abstract [eng] |
This Master Paper analyzes the opportunities of AB Mazeikiu Nafta related to petroleum products railway transportation, highlights characteristics of logistics theory and impact of logistics on the Company’s business activities, analyzes internal and external factors influencing transportation of petroleum products by railway. The Paper also contains comprehensive analysis of petroleum products transportation by railway, which analysis helps determining the strengths and weaknesses of petroleum products railway transportation and efficient operations opportunities. The analysis and, consequently, the Paper reinforces the hypothesis of scientific research stating that the railway logistics system of AB Mazeikiu Nafta utilized for transportation of petroleum products, assuming increase of the volumes to the local markets in 2007-2009, is an optimum system adaptable to any changes of external and internal factors and will be able to ensure transportation of petroleum products by railway in the future. |
