Abstract [eng] Violence – one of the nowadays issues, which negatively impacts societies all around the world, including every social layer, ethnic or religion group. WHO defines psychological violence at workplace as intentional usage of authority towards other person or group of employees, it includes threatened use of force, actions, which can harm physically, mentally, morally or socially. The aim of the research: to evaluate relationship between psychological violence in the workplace and working capacity with subjective health evaluation of nurses and therapists in the hospital X. The research objectives are: 1) Analyze the distribution of psychological violence within nurses and therapists in the hospital X. 2) Evaluate the subjective health evaluation and diagnosed health disorders of the staff in the hospital X; its’ impact on working capacity. 3) Determine relationship within psychological violence and subjective health evaluation with working capacity. The research methodology: data was collected conducting anonymous questionnaire. The survey was taken on May – October, 2015. Participants were asked to answer 34 questions out of which were 29 test questions and 5 open questions. 1128 questionnaires were distributed and 700 were completed and returned. However, only 569 questionnaires were suited for data analysis (this gives us 51% of return rate). Data was analyzed using the following statistical programs: Stata.12, WinPepi 11.62. For data entry and its documentation EpiData 3.1 was used. The difference between the data is considered statistical significant when p<0,05. Results: 5.8% and 5.1% of the participants reported to experience psychological violence often or every week and every day or almost every day respectively. 4.7% of the participants reported that they needed to change their job due to psychological violence. 2.3% of the participants evaluated their health condition as bad or partially bad. 12.5% of the participants claimed that they experienced back pain, 11.1% - experienced stress. Conclusion: 1) During the time period of the past 12 months 5.8% and 5.1% of the participants reported to experience psychological violence often or every week and every day or almost every day respectively. 2) Due to psychological violence 4.7% of the participants needed to change their job during the time period of 12 months; 2.3% - believe that their health condition is bad or partially bad. 3) Relationship was established within psychological violence and health disorders. Also, psychological violence has impact on working capacity. Keywords: psychological violence in workplace; working capacity; health condition.
