Juozas Raistenskis The aim of research work:evaluate children with autism spectrum disorders, sensory skills treatment on self-sufficiency skills. Tasks of work: 1. Set the sensory sensations disorders in children with autism spectrum disorders. 2. Identify the challenges faced by parents, the formation of self-sufficiency skills in children with autism spectrum disorders. 3. Rate of children with autism spectrum disorders, before and after the independence of occupational therapy sessions. 4. Compare independence skills before and after the sessions of occupational therapy for children with autism spectrum disorders. 5. Compare the parents and therapist about the results of the evaluation of children with autism spectrum disorders, before and after the independence of occupational therapy sessions. 6. Analyze children with autism spectrum disorders, sensory feeling the impact of self-sufficiency skills. Materials and methods: In this research were participating 44 children with autism spectrum disorders. The research was conducted in Vilnius special nursery kindergarten "Čiauškutis" social day care center 2015 10 - 2016 03 months. The following methods were used in this research: a survey "sensory integration disorder evaluation questionnaire (5-12 years) for parents; assessment under the Canadian operating performance model, a modified version of the evaluation; occupational therapy and sensory sensations intervention and clinical observation. Data analysis was performed using statistical data processing package - SPSS 17.0 (Statistical Package for Social Science), graphic display historical data using MS Excel 2007 program. Results and conclusions:The results showed that children with autism spectrum disorders, sensory sensations set pronounced manifestation of the degree of 20.5%, an average of 22.7%, less pronounced 31.8%, and 25% have no sensory sensations manifestation. Also identify the difficulties faced by parents, the formation of self-sufficiency skills in children with autism spectrum disorders: preparation, hygiene, eating and household activities. The results show that parents and occupational therapist assessment of children with autism spectrum disorders, independence, occupational therapy session before sufficiently similar, after the occupational therapy session - the results were very different - decreased by 6 times to take less autonomous children and increased 2-fold more independent children take. Furthermore, both by parents and by occupational therapist assessments of children with autism spectrum disorders, after occupational therapy session all improved autonomy, preparation, hygiene and eating skills than of occupational therapy session.Compared parent and therapist evaluation of children with autism spectrum disorders, occupational therapy only after the session is improved autonomy, preparation and hygiene skills. And found that fewer occurring in distinct sensory sensations, the better the ownership, preparation and hygiene skills. . |
