Abstract [eng] Aim: The investigation and analysis of the effect of drinks with an increased biological value on the biochemical parameters in blood of young people. Objectives: 1.To investigate and evaluate the effect of an α-linoleic acid enriched biodrink on the biochemical parameters in blood of healthy subjects before and after consumption. 2.To investigate and evaluate the effect of a fibers and vitamin D enriched biodrink on the biochemical parameters in blood of healthy subjects before and after consumption. 3.To investigate and analyze the spectra of serum fatty acids of the subjects before and after consumption of the biodrinks. Methods: The biochemical experiments were carried out in Santariškės hospital laboratory using conventional methods. The fatty acid spectra were obtained by gas chromatography – mass spectrometry. The statistical analysis was performed using SPSS software package. Results: 50 healthy volunteers were exposed to a biologically valuable drink that was added to their standard daily rations. The subjects consumed the drink for 21 days drinking half a liter a day. The drink in group one was enriched with 2 g of α-linoleic acid, the drink in group two was enriched with calcium (150 mg), vitamin D (0,75 µg) and prebiotics (2,5 g). Our analysis shows that there is no statistically significant increase in serum biochemical parameters in group one, although there is a statistically significant percentage increase in ALA, EPA and DHA. There is a statistically significant decrease in total serum cholesterol and LDL cholesterol concentrations in the second group. Conclusions: Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that biologically valuable drinks have a positive effect on the biochemical parameters of young people.
