The theme of this work is the relation of the principle of self-determination of peoples with the principles of territorial integrity and frontiers‘ inviolability. The main purpose of the work is to clarify main aspects of the interface between these principles, on the base of international treaties, resolutions, adopted by the United Nations General Assembly and Security Council, practice of the International Court of Justice, doctrine of law, and to present the possible manners to solve contradictions. It is analysed evolution of these principles, its implementation, reasons for different interpretation of the relation of these principles, some problematical issues, related to the theme of this work. Separate sections of this work provide the relation of the principle od self-determination of peoples with the principles of territorial integrity and frontiers‘ inviolability in regard to nations which have a right to self-determination or which have already exercised this right. |
