Abstract [eng] SUMMARY. An important part of any court or dispute resolution process is the requirement that all parties to the dispute receive proper notice of the proceedings and receive copies of all documents and evidence that will be used at the civil procedure. So if you become involved in legal proceedings, you will have to send various documents to the other party to the dispute and receive others in return. To use the legal term, you will have to serve documents. It is very important to serve documents properly because of the principles of the civil procedure on which all the procedure is based. Also it is very important to warrant the rights to the parties of the procedure. The documents must be served properly because it is one of the main conditions to adjudicate and do the judgment. When addressee of the documents is in the foreign country we must use not only national laws but also look at the international documents which regulate how to serve documents. And each time we should know which law we have to apply, depending on the residence of the addressee. In order to stand the modern way and seeking that judicial assistance between the states would be more effective, more fluent and faster, various means and implements are created. It has to make sure, that addressees who are abroad, will know about the legal documents on time and these documents will be served properly and as of right, simply and fast.
