Developing a Knowledge Management Strategy: SEB VB gyvybes draudimas Nowadays knowledge management becomes a source of competitive advantages and motivates employees who seek to increase their knowledge and skills. Knowledge management systems make it possible to find new ideas, to share accumulated knowledge and to use it in order to improve organization’s performance. Properly implemented knowledge management adds flexibility to the organization, allows a quick adaptation to external changes, and makes it easier to find new opportunities and use them in a right way. However successful implementation requires a lot of efforts. Creation of a good system is time-consuming and complicated process therefore it requires planning. The subject of this paper is knowledge management in organization. The objective is to outline a knowledge management strategy development plan and develop a knowledge management strategy to organization. The main tasks are: to define the conception of knowledge and knowledge management; to describe the role of knowledge management in developing organization strategies; to set forth the classification of knowledge management strategies; to analyze the steps of developing a knowledge management strategy; to outline knowledge management strategy development plan; to make a study, which would help to develop a knowledge management strategy. The analysis of scientific literature and the research were made to reach the objective of this paper. The analysis of literature made it possible to explore the most popular approaches to knowledge management and its strategies. There are a lot of different knowledge management strategies, which differ by its objectives and main problems it can solve. However there is no universal strategy, which would fit any company. Therefore certain plan of developing a strategy might help to name the key steps of all the main processes analyzing, pursuing to offer the best solution to existing problems and evaluate the result. All the main stages of developing knowledge management strategy are reviewed in this paper and certain plan of developing a strategy is formulated. Research was made to develop a knowledge management strategy to SEB VB gyvybes draudimas company. Said research had verified the hypothesis that knowledge management methodology helps to develop a knowledge management strategy according to organization objectives and employees expectations. While developing a strategy the formulated plan was being corrected considering the certain needs. Nevertheless it was very useful, because it allowed setting down all the relevant information about organization and highlighting the main items that have an influence on the development of knowledge management strategy. |
