Significantly growing number of internet users, increases their needs and expands variety of services. To satisfy customers’ needs and expectations the network has to work indefectibly. The dissertation examines network specifications and its maintenance quality. The main aim of the work was to create the system which would illustrate the topology of the current network, using network switch forwarding databses (FDB). The precise network topology scheme helps to avoid many problems which might turn up expanding the network or implementing new technologies or services. This also helps to analyze originating network failures and eliminate them more quickly. PostgrSQL, pgAdmin and Graphviz systems were analyzed throughout the work. Data base and data processing functions were created to produce final result. The final result – JPEG format picture which represents topology of network switches. |
