Abstract [eng] Stress phenomenon has a multidisciplinary nature and is analysed in various fields of science with a greater focus on psychological and medical aspects. Despite the positive aspects of occupational stress researches, it can be concluded that few studies focus on the application of teachers’ occupational stress education management and educational measures of reduction. The aim of the dissertation study is to reveal the occupational stress expression of Lithuanian teachers (the degree of prevalence and severity), also to substantiate education management and educational tools that enable to reduce the negative consequences of occupational stress. The following scientific information collection methods were used: a) a standardized questionnaire survey, b) a group interviews; c) discourse and content analysis. Descriptive and multi-dimensional statistics, discourse and content analysis have been used as the data-processing methods. In individual cases, the harmonization of sources of information and approaches helped to specify the scientific information received and to further substantiate its objectivity and reliability. According to the teachers’ subjective perceptions, the relatively strongest stress sources and the contexts should be associated with the macro-level factors. The factors on intrapersonal and individual level are rated lowest on an empirical stressors evaluation scale. The interim and/or indifferent ranking pertains to organizational level factors and contexts that are ranked low or average.
