Never before in Lithuania the electronic sources of information about books in Lithuania and Great Britain or related theme was analysed. This paper examines the electronic sources of information about books in Lithuania and Great Britain. The object of the master‘s work is the electronic sources of Lithiania and Great Britain and the information about realised books which is published in them. The aim of this master‘s work is to analyse the information about realised books in electronic sources which were selected, also to evaluate it and compare by problematic aspects. The main tasks of this paperwork are: to discuss about the contemporary sutuation of book market, which is inherent to Lithuania and Great Britain; to define the concept of electronic information sources; to divide electronic sources of information into the special groups and explore the electronic sources of information about books in Lithuania and Great Britain; to carry out the comprehensive qualitative analyse of content of the electronic sources of information about released books in Lithuania and Great Britain excluding the basic and additional elektronic sources. The next step is to reveal the dominant features of these elektronic sources: similarities and differences, advantages and disadvantages. Also, it is appropriate to create two systems, which summarise the structure of information published in electronic sources of information about released books in Lithuania and Great Britain. Finally, to carry out the questionnaire research trying to determine the benefit for internet users of electronic sources of information about books in Lithuania and Great Britain and to find out their attitude to it. There were using some methods: the analysis of scientific literature an other repositories, the qualitative analyse of content of the electronic sources and questionnaire survey. Electronic documents were anlysed in this master‘s work. Previously, electronic sources were examined as a tool for the organization of library activities, research, without relating the information with the book. Thus there are demand for more comprehensive analysis of electronic sources and forms of information about released books published in them. The social, technological and economic changes in society stimulated the attention to this kind of information, which raised the need to provide that information about the books by freely accessible method. Moreover, the information about the books, which is published in electronic sources relates to a successful activity’s strategy of persons or institutions, which practise books publishing and distribution in order to promote the books or their authors. In consequence, using electronic sources provided information and rendering capabilities, the communication with society which is interest in books is proceed. It is likely to expect that this paperwork could be useful for communication and information professionals, publishers and books distributors, who are trying to fixate themselves in electronic media, as well as library technicians and others who are interested in information about books, which is published in electronic sources in Lithuania and Great Britain. |
