Abstract [eng] Aim of the thesis: with the help of a method of comparative analysis, to analyse examples selected from the juridical text in Lithuanian and its translation into Russian in which translation transformations were applied as well as to establish their types and reasons. The thesis includes introduction, two chapters, conclusions, list of references and annex. In the theoretical chapter, singularities of juridical texts are reviewed, attitude by various scientists to the concept of translation equivalence is provided along with diverse classifications of translation transformation types, some features of grammatical structure in Lithuanian and Russian languages, and differences in meanings of lexical units in these languages.
