Abstract [eng] |
Job embeddedness is a relatively new construct that encompasses a variety of factors that may explain why employees stay in organizations rather than leave them. According to research, work engagement, trust and job embeddedness are negatively related to turnover intention, although these variables have not yet been studied together, so it is not clear what the interrelationships of all these factors are. 229 people (163 women and 65 men) between the ages of 18 and 64, who had permanent jobs and worked in them at the time of the study, participated in the study. The relationships between work engagement, trust, job embeddedness and turnover intention were investigated using the Ultrecht Work Engagement Scale, the Fair Interpersonal Treatment scale, the Organizational Embeddedness Scale and the Turnover Intention Scale. The study has shown that work engagement, trust, job embeddedness and turnover intention are strongly related to each other. Also, that work engagement and job embeddedness mediate the relationship between trust and intention to leave the organization. |
