Abstract [eng] This interdisciplinary study innovatively examines the alchemical symbolism and Hermetic influences in Geoffrey Chaucer's The Canon's Yeoman's Tale within the framework of the British Alchemical Tradition. Anchored in literary analysis, through hermeneutics and intertextuality approaches, it integrates cultural study in medieval British Hermetic tradition. Through methodical textual analysis, this investigation aims to uncover the profound potential influences between Chaucer's work and medieval English Hermetic knowledge. The goal is to uncover the underlying meanings and interpretations embedded within the texts and explore the interplay between alchemical symbolism and Chaucer's literary expression, considering the cultural context and the symbolic connotations.
