Abstract [eng] The hydrothermal solution technique was utilized to synthesize ZnO micro- and nanorods with a hexagonal structure. This controlled synthesis offers promising applications in nanodevice fabrication. The findings of this study underscore the significant influence of growth temperature, precursor concentration, and deposition time on the morphology and ordering of ZnO nanorods. Specifically, it was observed that temperature has the most pronounced effect on ZnO nanorod morphology and the surface-to-volume ratio. By adjusting the overall concentration of reactants or increasing the temperature, the width of ZnO microrods can be reduced to nanorod size. The study also delves into the influence of chemical reactions, nucleation, and growth processes on the morphology of ZnO nanorods, providing valuable insights into the synthesis and manipulation of these nanostructures. Overall, this research contributes to the understanding of ZnO nanorod growth and offers pathways for tailoring their properties for various applications.
