Abstract [eng] |
This literature review examines the evolving landscape of non-invasive diagnostic tools for follow-up of superficial urothelial carcinoma. Conventional cystoscopy is an expensive and invasive procedure, which fuels the exploration of alternatives. Imaging techniques such as Ultrasound, MRI, CT scans provide a non-invasive approach. While Blood and urinary biomarkers including Bladder EpiCheck, CxBladder and Uromonitor offer promising alternatives with their high sensitivity and specificity. Despite progress, More research is needed to refine these methods and improve patient outcomes in non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer Follow-up and surveillance. |
