Abstract [eng] The selection of logistically suitable territories for military exercises is a task of vital importance as support flows from warehouse to soldier. Properly selected territories ensure the safety of civilians and soldiers. The object of the research is the methodology of selecting suitable territories for military logistics exercises. The aim is to create an evaluation methodology verified by means of GIS tools for the logistics of military exercise territories. Conducted research and laws related to the selection of military territories are reviewed in the literature analysis section. Only publicly available information from open sources is used in the research, as more accurate and detailed information is considered of limited use. Researchers usually use multicriteria decision-making methods, which help to determine the evaluation criteria. After that, these criteria are further integrated into geographic information technologies. In this way, the most suitable military territories are selected. The methodology section of the thesis presents the used data sources and describes the processing of the data with the created models in the ArcGIS PRO software ModelBuilder environment. A methodology for selection and assessment of evaluation and limitation criteria is presented, which is adapted to the changing needs of decision makers or commanders. The created evaluation and selection model for determining suitable territories works automatically, there is an option to enter the criteria for additions. The research determined the following criteria for the evaluation of territories: distance to railways, roads, forests, airfields, power lines, buildings and slope inclinations. The following were selected for the limitation criteria: protected areas, urban areas, dangerous objects, unsuitable surfaces, rivers, forests, borders, critical infrastructure and densely populated areas. The established evaluation criteria were evaluated by the expert as suitable for logistics in selecting territories for military exercises. Research results: suitable territories make up 10,761.60 km2 (16.48%), moderately suitable territories – 8,386.04 km2 (12.85%), less suitable territories – 2,725.06 km2 (4.17%). The largest part consists of territories unsuitable for logistics, their area is as much as 43,412.73 km2 (66.50%).
