Promoting teacher empowerment is one of the most effective strategies in school management. During the empowerment process, the aim is for the teacher to identify himself with the school, its values and strategic goals, connecting them with personal needs and desires. Creating an enabling school is one of the most important tasks of strategic school management. It is a long-term and future-oriented approach that enables the school community to act purposefully towards the desired future, meeting not only the needs of the school community itself, but also the expectations of the social environment. Purpose: To analyse the aspects of teacher empowerment in strategic management processes. The survey sample. Selected for qualitative research 12 school employees. The participants of the semi-structured interview were selected using a non-probability sampling method for the purpose of the study. The research revealed: For the empowerment of pedagogues, their own values and attitude towards education and the educational process are relevant - the more common goals are pursued, joint activities are carried out, community action is possible, the more effective the empowerment of pedagogues can be by participating in strategic management processes. For the empowerment of pedagogues, their own expectations to experience emotional safety, community, and to see the growth of children and the organization are significant in the process of strategic management. Empowerment of educators in strategic management processes is limited by emerging challenges: lack of community spirit, diversity of opinions, dominance of different experiences, lack of time and competencies and resources. Factors that would help to strengthen the empowerment of educators in the process of strategic management are setting realistic goals, forming a culture of cooperation and seeing meaning in activities. |
