Abstract [eng] The strategic objective of this study was to develop a methodology for quantitative assessment of the degree of technogeneity of landscape. The concrete aim was to reveal the spatial distribution patterns of embodied energy as of an indicator of landscape technogeneity. The study analysed the trends of research of energy purposefully targeted at technogenic deformations of environment and developed an original methodology for evaluation of landscape technogeneity/artificiality degree based on quantitative indices. The presented methodology is applied to the most complex urban landscape distinguished for the highest diversity of technogenic material. The spatial analysis of technogeneity included the evaluation of the distribution patterns of main and auxiliary indices and evaluation of embodied energy as a direct indicator of technogeneity of urban landscapes. Based on the main quantitative indices and their distribution patterns, the territories of four Lithuanian cities were regioned according to the degree of technogeneity.
