Master‘s thesis investigates the conception of small economy, conditions of small economy growth, considering trade openness and it‘s impact on economic growth as well. This study follows comparative analysis of openness in small and big economies, also it was assessed connection strength between Lithuania GDP per capita and trade openness index. In order to identify what is the major factor that influences economic growth in Lithuania, multiple regression models were compiled. The analyze revealed that trade openness, unemployment and expenditure on research and development are the main factors that have significant impact on Lithuania’s GDP. Also in was focused on impact on the channels through which trade openness could effect economic growth. |
