In the Master paper one can find a description of different cases of aphasia and methods, therapy programs speech pathologists use in patients speech and language evaluation and treatment in the United States of America. The aim of the study is to reveal the experience of the provision of speech therapy help to patients with lost ability to speak. There were 68 respondents who took part in the research: 54 speech pathologists from Illinois, Wisconsin and Texas states and 14 patients who received speech therapy in Van Matre Healthsouth rehabilitation hospital, Rockford, Illinois. The research took place from February, 2012 to March, 2013. The hypothesis - it is believable that speech pathologists in different rehabilitation hospitals and clinics use various speech assessment tests, methods and therapy programs to remediate aphasia. |
