In the constantly changing world of nowadays a secondary school meets challenges of changing in all the aspects of life too. An attitude towards the activity of a school, every person of a school, his/her role and the understanding of the quality keeps changing too. The quality of the school’s activity often is being linked with achievements of the pupils, results of theirs exams, and is being assessed according the methods of external or internal audit. The highest responsibility usually is dedicated for the leader of a school. However, sometimes the active teachers, full of ideas and willing to improve their activity, are being forgotten. So the creation of conditions to disseminate the ideas, creativity, new ways of thinking and acting, as well as take up the responsibility for the quality of the school’s activity and talking about the shared leadership in the contemporary secondary school becomes of crucial importance. The scientific literature pays lot of attention for the traditional understanding of leadership, especially for the particular kind of leadership, oriented to the activity of the head of the organization. However, a gap in the scientific literature exists on the direct relation between the shared leadership and the achievements of studies as well as the quality of the activity. So the fallowing problem questions may be raised here: 1) How does the quality of the secondary school’s activity is being stipulated by the shared leadership? 2) What kind of model should be developed for the interaction between the quality of activity of secondary education schools and the shared leadership? Object of the research: the interaction between the quality of activity of secondary education schools and the shared leadership. Aim of the research: to develop the theoretically and empirically based model of the interaction between the quality of activity of secondary education schools and the shared leadership. The methods of the research: analysis of scientific literature and information sources, content analysis of the educational documents, method of the modelling, survey, content analysis of the Strategic plans. The data of the quantitative research is being edited by using the computer programmes SPSS 17.0 (described statistics, testing of the statistical hypothesis (correlation is being analysed)) and Microsoft Excel. A theoretical model of the interaction between the quality of activity of secondary education schools and the shared leadership has been developed before the implementation of the research. After testing it empirically, the hypothesis raised has been confirmed: the results of the research show, that the shared leadership stipulates the quality of activity of secondary education schools indeed. If a shared leadership is being promoted in the school, a balance of attention for the persons of the school and the goal of the school may be kept. It allows us to talk about the activity of the school of a good quality. So the shared leadership should become the basis of guarantying the quality of activity of every school, and the model developed may be applied in the other schools by adapting it for the understanding of the quality in particular schools. |
