Abstract [eng] Mutations theme is very relevant with a modern man, for that is phenomenon to active man and other living organisms and the physical environment components.Researchers found that the mutation is a chemical or radioactive contamination the latest technology and genetically modified organisms' influences results. The objective of the master’s thesis is to analyse theoretical sources on the theme of the paper and to develop the compositions of textile objects of five parts – “Mutation”. In the first chapter of the theoretical part, there are considered terms and definitions in relation with the phenomenon of mutation in human and natural being, the effects of environmental pollution and new technologies. The historical development, types of mutation are wider considered. The approaches of famous scientists towards the phenomenon of mutation are presented. They theories were referred to developing the conception of the present thesis. In the second chapter, there are analysed visual art works of various authors in relation with the forms of mutation. In the third chapter, there is comprehensively elaborated the course of the creative part of the master’s thesis. Working out in Annexes are environmental pollution, GMO examples, art works' of mutation theme as well as a CD-ROM with an electronic version of the master thesis. The selected theme of “Mutation“ is interpreted through the effects of technologies created by humans expressed in human, natural mutations, where living organisms disappear, decay, change. In the thesis, there is analysed the approach of the interpretation of birth defects, GMO, environmental pollution by various artists. It became clear that such themes were not very usual in their creations. Every author expressed very differently his/her personal relation with the theme of mutations. Creative textiles “Mutation” are five textile compositions, depicted in abstract forms , where the theme is encoded. Every part of a composition symbolises a certain damage made by mutation, which makes some changes. The first part of the composition “Change” is related to the beginning of mutation. The second part of the composition “Mutant“ reveals the effects of two different changes, which are based on the phenomenon of body decomposition. In the third part “Hybrid”, there is raised the problem of the impact of technologies in human and natural existence. The fourth part “Disappearance“ is related to ecological problems. The fifth part “Transformation“ is related to the total mutation of a human body, which means death. Every part of the textile composition takes a different position. The compositions express the transformation, which is created purposefully using forms, silhouettes, the range of colours, surface factures, technologies and materials helping to visualise the phenomenon of mutation.
