Abstract [eng] The consequences of emigration in migrants’ countries of origin have been the subject of debate for a long time. Unfortunatelly, the precise interaction of positive and negative impacts remains very complexed. This master‘s paper investigates migration problem in Lithuania. Macroeconomic indicators such as: employment, average disposable income and corruption have a significant and negative impact on the people migration. On the other side – emigrants sent remittances to Lithuania and spent it mostly on consumption and real estate. The author of this work offered „The Graphic Lithuanian Emigration” model and evaluated it empirically. This model reflects the two most important ways that migration influences economic development in Lithuania: through remittances and labor market. Finally, “The Graphic Lithuanian emigration model” and empirical research has revealed that the greatest influence on emigration had unemployment rates.
