| Abstract [eng] |
The master thesis explores financial analysts' forecasts, forecast errors and consensus impact on investors' decisions in Eastern European equity markets. The conceptual part of the thesis reviews the scientific literature on financial analysts' forecasting performance and develops the model that allows to explore its interaction with investors' decisions. The analytical part of the thesis identifies financial analysts' optimism bias and measures financial analysts‘ forecasts, forecast errors and consensus impact on investors' decisions in Eastern European countries. The constructive part of the thesis looks at financial analysts' reputation effect on investors' decisions and identifies differences and similarities in investor behaviour among Eastern European countries. The final thesis finds a slight effect of financial analysts' forecasting performance on investor behaviour in Eastern European countries. |
