In this Master's thesis a new logistic regression bankruptcy diagnostic model for Lithuanian companies is formed. The research is based on 158 Lithuanian companies' financial data. The first part consists of bankruptcy concept and diagnostic system analysis. It also includes the substantiation of empirical research methodology. The second part presents the 2003-2012 bankruptcy trends analysis of Lithuanian companies in territorial, sectoral and company-size approach. The results allow to ground a necessity to form new bankruptcy diagnostic model which could ensure the continuity of Lithuanian companies' business activity. The third part consists of modelling. It provides different variations of bankruptcy diagnostic model, which allow to assess the bankruptcy probability in Lithuanian companies depending on their size and type of the activity. |
