Abstract [eng] The Master‘s Thesis provides the analysis of the motivation system in a company and the possibilities for its improvement. For the analysis of the topic, scientific papers and articles of Lithuanian, as well as foreign authors were examined, in this way actualizing the aspects of topicality and the main problem, and examining the insights of various authors on this topic. The authors unanimously emphasize the importance of motivation in reaching for better results. However, in order to create an effective motivational system, it is first necessary to find out, what motivates the employees to reach for better results. It is obvious, that the aim of any organization is to accurately determine the possibilities for work motivation, to raise realistic aims and objectives for the employee motivation, be able to identify the priorities of the subordinates and based on this information, to create a motivational system, which should be constantly reviewed and improved. The aim of Master’s Thesis – having analyzed the motivational theories and systems and having conducted the empirical research, to analyze Ltd ‘Studio Moderna’ motivational system and determine the possibilities for its improvement. In order to determine the motivational system, a focus group was formed. Research methods used in Master’s Thesis: - Analysis of scientific literature of Lithuanian and foreign authors; - Focus group survey based on the questionnaire provided in the Appendix; - Raising the main problematic questions with regards to motivation in the company Ltd. ‘Studio Moderna’; - Submitting the problematic questions about motivation to the employees of a higher rank, in order to determine the ways of improving the motivation and avoiding problems; - Motivational scheme drawn, which later will be submitted to the heads of this organization. Research results have shown, that the motivational system of Ltd. ‘Studio Moderna’ is not effective, and the employees are not properly motivated. According to the respondents, the best motivation for the employees of this company, would be materialistic factors. Having analyzed the scientific literature of Lithuanian and foreign authors, Ltd ‘Studio Moderna’ motivational model was created, based on the results of empirical research; also, the possibilities for the improvement of motivation were defined. The Master’s Thesis consists of three main parts. In the first part, the definition of motivation is provided based on theoretical perspective, as well as its meaning to the employees and the main theories, means of motivating and the experience of EU countries. In the second part, methodology for examining the possibilities of improving the motivational system in an organization is described. In the third part, Ltd. ‘Studio Moderna’ motivational model is provided, based on the research results, possibilities for improving the motivational system are determined, and conclusions are drawn.
