Abstract [eng] Education program is a show for all groups of age, caliber people. It is designed for their professional, educational, pedagogical, practical needs. In 1997 educational activity of museums became an official part of museums work. Till now it is not much studied no by people working in museums, no by academic. There is no any resumptive works. Education programs are becoming more and more popular, so it is very important to schematize them. The purpose of this work is to schematize them. The largest number of them is committed for schoolchildren and very little for tourists and adult visitors. It is a form of not formal learning. First of all because of the environment (it is not a school), schoolchildren can see and work with the exhibits. Active rule is the base of education programs. Analysis of education programs and the participators amount in 2003 - 2006 shows, that this number is increasing. The number of new themes is decline, so we can say, that the quality is more important then amount. Statistical - thematic analysis show that in museums of Lithuania dominate entographical topic. Obviously it is because of national spiritual heritage preserve and pride of national revival (XIX age). The exhibits of etnographical museums shows the particularity of living and crafts. Art programs are prepared in art museums. Usually they need a special rooms, educational classes for their practical activity. But just a few museums has it. There are no musical, theatrical programs. Museums has the best conditions for historical programs presentation. The topic of them is the same as in schools. Is is prehistory, LDK, the ban of press period, holocaust. There is no education programes about technical heritage. Education programs of Lithuania museums educate four categorys of values: nationality – statehoog values, etnographical values, art values and nature study values. Nationality – statehoog values are educate in history education programs. It form the pride of native language and history, national and cultural past. These programs are prepared in Lietuvos liaudies buities muziejus and in region museums. Art values cherish new aesthetical creeds, creative, self – expression in art, develop fancy, art talent. These values are educated in art museums, especially in Lietuvos dailės muziejus and Nacionalinis M. K. Čiurlionio dailės muziejus. Nature study present with ecological topic, consumer society problems. In this area the leaders are museum of Kretinga, Lietuvos jūrų muziejus.
