Abstract [eng] |
Most of the leaders of the sanatoria really understand very well the importance of the strategic planning for the long-lasting success of their activity. The leader rather often speaks about successful sessions of the strategic planning which discovered in time very important problems and which helped to concentrate the efforts of all sanatorium staff for the purposeful development of the business. On the other hand, there are some sanatoria in Lithuania which think that the planning of their activity is to form annual budget. But there is no clear business strategy or it is only in the mind of the leader. That’s why the theme of the strategic planning is actual and useful. When we know the analysis of the future analysis and the perception of the development direction of the sanatorium, unite the efforts of the staff in order to achieve clear common goals of the sanatorium. In addition, strategic planning enables rational distribution of the resources clearly previewing the priorities of the activity and helps to solve the problems in sanatorium which occur during the planning of the activity. The object of the work – strategic planning in Birštonas sanatoria. The aim of the work – to evaluate the strategic planning in order to show the main difficulties. In order to achieve this determined aim these goals are analysed: • Present conceptions of the strategy and strategic planning; • Name the stages of the strategic planning process and show the difficulties characteristic to those stages; • Create theoretical evaluation model of the difficulties in each stage of the strategic planning; • Evaluate the investigation level of the strategic planning and present the strategic layout of Birštonas sanatoria; • Show the difficulties and their interaction in the strategic planning of Birštonas sanatoria. The research results we got from the analysis show that sanatoria in Birštonas come into collision with many difficulties during the strategic planning process. Some of them are: the authorities don’t award staff for the planning results; coming out of some unexpected exterior problems; frequent change of plans, inadequate communication and great expenses for the execution of planning. In can be noticed in relation within the process of strategic planning obstacles; if the obstacles come out in the earlier stage of planning it is even more difficult to solve the problems and it is a great possibility to find them in the stages of later strategic planning process.
