Abstract [eng] Motivation is known to be as one of the main things to make company successful in their business. There are many ways how to motivate, but companies’ leaders must know what motivates their employees, because every individual has his own needs, and sometimes it differs one from another. Many motivational tools (such as bonuses, prizes, compensations, etc.) motivate people externally, while only internal motivation can create a long term employee satisfaction. Creating a motivating environment takes a lot of work – it requires care, a systematic approach, and authentic respect for one’s team. The purpose of the work is to analyze motivation systems used in international organization and their influence on work. The subject of the work is motivation. The analysis of modern science literature, articles, research and web based information has let to reveal the main peculiarities of motivation and motivational tools concept, the use of motivation in international and Lithuanian business. The purpose of the research is to measure the degree of motivation usage in international and Lithuanian companies and its influence on work. Work contains 67 pages, 8 tables and 31 picture. Theoretical part of the work reveals the main motivation theories (content theories and process theories), motivational tools, models and influence on work efficiency. The second part of the work (analytical part) reviews the situation of world labour market, employee satisfaction, motivation usage differences in different countries. Results part was to survey the usage of motivation systems in international and Lithuanian companies. The results showed that majority of international and Lithuanian companies successfully use employee motivation in their business, and it has big influence on their works results.
