In this paper, I discuss the claims advanced by Franziska van Buren in her recent book "Aristotle and the Ontology of St Bonaventure". I argue that Bonaventure was indeed deeply influenced by Aristotle's understanding of forms, as van Buren correctly points out, and I discuss several points of disagreement with van Buren on specific aspects of her interpretation. |
