Monthly data of customs procedures at import are collected in Customs department. From the 1st of May 2004 the data became incomparable with the data collected before; differences appeared because Lithuania became EU state. In this work time series expressing monthly number of procedures at import were analysed and some functions for forecasting were found. The functions were found using regression analysis, dummy variables and two types of indexes linking different time series elements. Available time series were quite short for drawing strict inferences therefore the best function for forecasting was not distinguished. It was concluded to compare future observations with predictions and to adjust coefficients of forecasting functions due to new observations. |
