In order to expand the knowledge of organizational identification during a organizational merger, a research was conducted on a exploring such factors of organizational identification in context of organizational merger: pre-merged identification, in-group bias, sense of continuity, the utility of organizational merger, employee’s status and self-efficacy. In contrast to earlier studies, organizational identification was measured as the expected identification prior to the merger, too. In this research participated 111 employees of two organizations. 58 participants were from non-merged organization and 53 participants represented really merged company. Results provide support that exist partial cross correlation among factors of organizational identification: identification with pre-merged company has statistical significant relation only with the status of employee. In this study explored factors of organizational identification are equally important for both companies, except identification with post-merger organization. Results of multiple regression analysis showed, that most important factors for identification with post-merger organization are pre-merger identification, sense of continuity and the utility of organizational merger. |
