Abstract [eng] This paper deals with peculiarities of developing social skills of preschool children with autism spectrum disorder. Aim of the study was to analyse social skills of preschool children with autism spectrum disorder. A qualitative research of this study focuses on assessment of social skills peculiarities of preschool children with autism spectrum disorder. Observation, case study and semi-structured interview methods were used for the research. Content analysis method was used to analyse recods of the interview with parents. 4 preschool children with autism spectrum disorder (3 boys and 1 girl) participated in this study, as well as educators, specialists working with these children (speech and language therapist, epecial educator, psychologist, physical education teacher, music teacher, masseuse) and their parents. Theoretical part of the study features socialisation and its challenges of preschool children with autism spectrum disorder, it also discusses social skills and ability of the respondents to apply them in communication with adults and other children.
