| Abstract [eng] |
The master‘s thesis analyses sustainable development and competitiveness coherence in the countries of European Union. The theoretical part supplies the terms and the fundamental evaluation methods of sustainable development and competitiveness. The opinions on sustainable development and competitiveness effect towards one another has been analysed and systemized. In the practical part the sustainable development and competitiveness changes in the countries of European Union has been analysed also sustainable development and its components and the bond between competitiveness has been evaluated. Competitiveness and sustainable development link evaluation has been performed by which the formulated research hypothesis of the author was partly confirmed in order to show that competitive and sustainable development are changing in opposite directions in new European Union countries. Also the positioning of countries in the European Union context has been evaluated and the capabilities of the countries to be competitive and further developing have been set. |
