VU Department of Social work, 2008. p. SUMMARY There is an obvious decrease of in-patient service facilities and increase orientation of human living at home in many countries of the Western Europe. Development of social and health care agencies and cooperation between them is the very important direction improving disabled, chronical ill and old person’s care at home. Cooperation between social and health care agencies delivering home care facilities in Lithuania is just in the begining of the process. Wherefore it was very important to perform research for evaluation and indentification social work professionals and nurses cooperation possibility delivering home care facilities. During research in 2008 where were questioned 123 specialists: 80 perssonel from Social support center’s Home care agency in Vilnius and 43 perssonel from clinics of Antakalnis, Šeškinė, Naujininkai and Santariškės. According to the date of the research social work professionals rare than nurses in the academic institutions were tought about principals of cooperation between specialists. Majority of the respondents approvingly rated collective qualification classes, conferences, education. Social work professionals and nurses trusted each other and positively rated one another work. Generally respondents had successful cooperation experience. Social work professionals problems frequently arised in colecting date from nurses, nurses had a lack of working time for cooperation delivering home care facilities. Social work professionals and nurses expressed request for regularly collective meetings. Both range specialists value each others and cooperation proccess in generaly, although social work specialists had somewhat worse opinion about nurses than nurses opinion about social work specialists. Neither social work specialists nor nurses had preconception about cooperation process delivering home care facilities. |
