Abstract [eng] The work presents the theoretical analysis of the importance of physical activity to the health of odontologist assistants. Hypothesis: regular physical activity has positive impact on the health of dental assistants. The research was carried out by means of two questionnaire survey aimed to examine the importance of physical activity to the health of odontologist assistants. During the examination and analysis of the role of physical activity of dental assistants in the prevention of health improvement, work ergonomics, the importance of health in their lives, the respondents were interviewed using a questionnaire, which was prepared by the researcher. During the first stage, the study to 97 odontoligist assistants was carried out in order to explore the role of physical activity and its importance for the improvement of physical health of odontologist assistants. During the second survey, 21 odontologist assistants were surveyed in order to assess the impact of the application of recommended complex of exercises on physical health. Main conclusions of empirical research: 1. The research showed that physical activity for the majority of respondents improves physical health and refines body lines. Almost all of the respondents are aware that physical inactivity stimulates the emergence of many diseases. 2. The research showed that after the application of the complex of prepared physical exercises, physical health of all respondents improved, body lines of more than half of study objects refined, back and neck pain decreased, and their posture became better. The hypothesis that physical activity positively affects the health of odontologist assistants has proved.
