Abstract [eng] In Viktorija Liustrovaite’ dissertation, titled "Application of Conducting Polymers in Composite Materials and Structures Applied in Sensor Technologies", advanced conducting polymer composites are evaluated for their application in sensor technologies. The dissertation demonstrates how these composites can be integrated into complex analytical systems, enhancing sensor sensitivity and selectivity. It presents innovative approaches to sensor design, employing materials such as polypyrrole-based underlayers, self-assembled monolayers, and aptamer-embedded polypyrrole matrices. These advancements can improve biomolecule immobilisation efficiency, reduce non-specific interactions, and optimise analyte detection.
