Abstract [eng] Abstract. Over the time, large business enterprises were mostly considered to be American practice, while European business was underdeveloped and consisted of family businesses and small firms. However, after WW2 period was noticeable not only in political changes all around the globe, but was a start for creating a new alliance, which was not introduced in any other part of the world before. Looking deep, EU is a unique project with a long history of creation which is still under the process of development. “How does it work?” – is an interesting question to answer from many sides, but this paper is going into the topic of business integration along the development of EU. Integration of EU is an extremely important project economically not only for 500 million customers all around the Europe, but mostly for millions of companies. Furthermore, with enterprises that exist and have headquarters all around the globe such as Total, Volkswagen, Allianz, Siemens, Axa or Carrefour, it is not surprising that the expression ‘European business’ has become familiar. Removing economic borders brought new freedoms and Europeanisation becomes inevitable for companies. European business implies a regionalization of the business environment and corporate operations in Europe, relative to such alternatives as a local, national or global scope. Above all, any company that wishes to be profitable and successful in the EU has to become an organization, which develops over the time and responses to the changes of the global environment and many macroeconomic parameters. The key ability in this sphere is to anticipate the regulatory developments and be able to adjust way of doing business and corporate strategy accordingly to achieve sustainable competitive advantage in the EU. Purpose of a paper is to answer the main question: which strategy should be implemented by companies to take the full advantage of integration process? There are sub-questions which have to be risen before and will lead to the detailed and full explanation of the way of doing business in the EU: 1) What are key benefits that Europeanisation can bring to the business itself? 2) What kind of disadvantages are following the process of business integration within EU? Methods: the analysis is made through research of EU laws and main freedoms involving data triangulation. For consistency, the research will include the analysis of 2 integrational processes around the Europe to conclude real life consequences of the business integration. Theory part consists of principals, which are common for EU companies integrating their businesses and analysis of disadvantages and benefits of using the freedoms that are stated in EU agreement and introduction of main strategies which business can undertake. Analysis part is concluded with the analytical research of 2 companies: the reasons of integration, the process and action that had to be undertaken and economical, and business consequences of it. Conclusions summarize all the research and combine theoretical part findings with an appliance of them in real life business processes. Proposals include the actions and offers that can help companies to take full advantage of the integration within EU and using its freedoms.
