Abstract [eng] The preschool educators are required to adapt to modern changes – to improve constantly. The quality of preschool education is related to the educators’ professionalism, for this reason the role of the educator, his ability to interact with other educators and specialists are of key importance. Cooperation is a highly relevant process for the educators as it enables the achieving of quality preschool education services. The research problem is specified in the following questions – How preschool institution educators prioritize learning through cooperation? What are the main peculiarities of the expression of learning through cooperation of preschool educators? What forms, means of learning through cooperation are the most influential on the higher quality preschool education provided by the educators? Research subject – learning through cooperation of preschool institution educators. Research aim - to base theoretically and empirically the importance of learning through cooperation of preschool educators on achieving the quality preschool education. Research scope, organisation and methods – 6 experts and 138 educators from 30 Šiauliai City preschool education institutions participated in the research. The research employed theoretical, empirical and statistical methods. The empirical research revealed that learning through cooperation is a significant element that contributes to the quality of preschool education because it allows sharing the personal experience, ideas, and learning from each other. Cooperation facilitates the implementation and the application of innovations in the education process, promotes professional and personal improvement, provides opportunities to improve one’s learning process. All of the participants cooperate, highly regard the cooperation in their institution, and believe that cooperation could be realized through the organisation of various festivities and the improvement of the education process. Regarding the necessity for cooperation, both the educators and the management disclose that not only learning through cooperation provides the opportunity to learn from each other, but also leads to the success and the opportunity to fix the mistakes. Learning through cooperation also affects the students, allows them to follow the example of cooperation, determines a more successful education/learning of the children, and as a result this has an impact on the future because it shows the mutual dependence in a teamwork. The aforementioned emphasizes that the cooperation of the educators is an important element which ensures the opportunity to improve the quality of their activity.
