The master’s thesis analyzes the relationship between adaptive leadership and organizational culture in preschool education institutions in Panevėžys County. The aim of the thesis is to determine the connection between adaptive leadership and organizational culture in preschool education institutions. To achieve this aim, the following objectives are set: to identify the links between the traits of adaptive leadership and elements of organizational culture through an analysis of these concepts; to examine the importance and impact of the activities of organizational leaders in promoting adaptive leadership practices and fostering an adaptable organizational culture; to conduct an analysis of the links between adaptive leadership and organizational culture in preschool educational institutions of Panevėžys county; to determine the strength of the links between adaptive leadership and organizational culture and the differences in assessment according to demographic criteria; to provide practical recommendations for developing the interrelations between adaptive leadership and organizational culture in preschool education institutions, aiming to create adaptable organizations. The object of the research is the relationship between adaptive leadership and organizational culture. The methods used in the study include a systematic analysis of scientific literature, comparison and summarization, as well as a quantitative survey targeting educators and the summarization of empirical findings. The master’s thesis consists of an introduction, theoretical, methodological, and empirical sections, conclusions, and recommendations. In the theoretical part, the concepts of adaptive leadership and organizational culture are explored, analyzing their interconnections. The characteristics of adaptive leadership and the elements of organizational culture that influence organizational management and success are identified. The conditions for adaptive leadership, the actions of adaptive leaders, and the role of managers in promoting adaptive leadership and adaptable organizational culture are analyzed. In the methodological part, the methodology of the empirical research is presented, including the theoretical research principles, research strategy, and justification for the choice of research instruments. The aim of the empirical research is to uncover the links between adaptive leadership and organizational culture in preschool education institutions. A quantitative survey method was chosen to achieve this aim. This part details the research field and sample characteristics, research stages, and ethical considerations. The empirical part presents the results of the quantitative data analysis. Summarized findings of the questionnaire survey (e.g., averages, standard deviations, correlations) are provided. The study determined the significance of the links between adaptive leadership and organizational culture in preschool institutions: adaptive leadership practices are applied, managers encourage employee learning, development, and leadership. Statistically significant differences were found between evaluations of leaders and teachers. While the organizational culture is generally favorable, attention should be paid to fostering respectful behavior. The thesis concludes with findings and recommendations on promoting adaptive leadership practices in institutions to enhance the management and development of an adaptable organizational culture. |
