Abstract [eng] This master's thesis explores the factors influencing users' willingness to disclose personal information to smart personal assistants (SPAs), specifically focusing on Alexa, and examines individuals from Lithuania and Pakistan. A comprehensive literature review and a survey of 335 respondents assess the main factors that influence willingness to disclose personal information to these devices, and how cultural nuances and privacy regulations shape user interactions and attitudes toward SPAs. Utilizing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework, the study employs statistical tools such as SPSS for data analysis, including factor analysis and reliability testing via Cronbach's Alpha. Findings reveal that trust is the most significant factor enhancing willingness to disclose personal information in both countries, while attitudes toward Alexa also positively impact privacy disclosure. Privacy concerns, however, have a varying impact; they are more pronounced in Lithuania than in Pakistan. The study concludes that improving user interfaces, highlighting the benefits, and ensuring robust data security are crucial for fostering positive attitudes and willingness to share personal information with SPAs.
