Abstract [eng] This master thesis seeks to answer the question: what impact do different leadership styles have on employee job satisfaction? First of all, the thesis analyses the concept of leadership style and job satisfaction in order to define the boundaries of the phenomenon under research. The scientific literature identifies six classical and contemporary leadership styles, along with around 80 different leadership metodą. This research focuses on analysing three contemporary leadership styles (liberal, transactional, and transformational) and their influence on job satisfaction in pre-school and pre-primary education institutions. Objective of this thesis: to examine the impact of a leader's leadership style on employee job satisfaction. Research object: the influence of a leader's leadership style on employee job satisfaction. Tasks of the thesis: Analyse key concepts: leadership style and job satisfaction; Operationalise the concepts of leadership styles and job satisfaction by identifying features of three different leadership styles which will be used in order to formulate indicators; Conduct a quantitative research and analyse the collected data using statistical analysis methods in order to determine the relationship between leadership style and employee job satisfaction; Assess the magnitude of the impact of leadership style on employee job satisfaction by identifying differences between groups with different leadership styles. Research methods: analysis of scientific literature, questionnaire survey, and mathematical statistical analysis. The thesis consists of four sections, conclusions and recommendations, a list of references, and appendices. The theoretical part thoroughly examines the concepts of leadership and leadership styles, describes the classification of leadership styles. Three leadership styles are analysed in detail, their dimensions are identified, and the concept of job satisfaction is discussed. The third part covers research methodology, while the fourth presents empirical research results. In this study, leadership style is defined as a manner of behaviour by which a leader seeks to influence employees through specific methods and norms in order to achieve organisational goals. The liberal leadership style emphasises a lack of control from the leader and their absence alongside employees; transactional leadership relies on conditional management and management by exception: passive and active management; while transformational leadership relies on idealised influence, inspirational motivation, idealised concern, and intellectual stimulation. Job satisfaction is described as a teacher’s emotional and cognitive experience that encompasses intrinsic motivation, experienced emotions, and alignment of work results with organisational and personal expectations. The aim of the empirical research is to determine how different leadership styles affect job satisfaction among pre-school and pre-primary education teachers at educational institutions. The study was conducted from November 8 to 28, 2024. A total of 375 respondents participated in the questionnaire survey. The success of educational organisation depends on leader’s behaviour with teachers. Each leader can achieve excellent results; however, it is crucial to note that different leadership styles can lead to an educational institution's success or failure. Based on the research results obtained, it is concluded that the hypothesis has been confirmed: in educational organisation, a leader's leadership style influences teachers' job satisfaction. The findings of this research indicate that a leader's style significantly affects teachers' job satisfaction. Liberal leadership style is least associated with job satisfaction while transformational leadership style has the most positive effect on teachers' job satisfaction. The length of this thesis is 69 pages long and includes 24 tables and two pictures.
