Abstract [eng] This master‘s thesis analyzes relationship between organizational climate and employees‘ commitment. Aim of the study – to establish relationship between educational organization‘s climate and teacher‘s commitment to organization. In order to achieve this aim the following tasks were formed: to analyze the concept of organizational climate and dimensions: to identify the signs of collegial management, professional teacher‘s behaviour, pressure about achievements and institutional vulnerability; to analyze the concept of employee‘s commitment to institution and its dimensions: identify the characteristics of willingness to put effort, acceptance to organizational values and willingness to maintain membership in organization; to reveal the resolution between educational organization climate and teacher‘s commitment to organization in study population; to adapt the tools of Hoy, Smith and Sweetland (2002) educational organizational climate and Mowday, Steers and Porter (1979) employee‘s commitment to organisation to studied population; to determine the connection between educational organization climate and teacher‘s commitment to organization; to analyse the connection between educational organization climate and dimension of teacher‘s commitment to organization; to ascertain the relationship between educational organization climate dimensions and teacher‘s commitment to organization. Object of the study – the relationship between organizational climate and employees‘ commitment to organization. Thesis consists of three parts: theoretical, methodological and empirical. Theoretical part describes the concepts of organizational climate and employee‘s commitment. Based on organizational climate and employee‘s commitment theories, the concepts’, the main dimensions and their significance to organizational activity are being analyzed. Methodological thesis part presents empirical survey methodology: survey design, which presents the counting of survey field and description of quantitative survey strategy, as well as methods of the survey, validating the choice of survey means and their validity, moreover the analysis of statistical data for this survey is described. The principles of survey organization and ethical principles, as well as field of study and counting data are being presented Empirical thesis part analyses teachers‘ survey data (N=415), which is related with educational organizational climate and teacher‘s commitment. This part presents relationship between organizational climate and teacher‘s commitment, the results of quantitative survey data analysis and discussion. Analysis has revealed that there is a strong positive connection between educational organizational climate and teacher‘s commitment to organization. The most important results have shown that collegial leadership makes the strongest positive influence towards teacher‘s commitment and to all dimensions of commitment, whereas professional teacher‘s behaviour and achievement press makes meaningful, but not so significant influence. Institutional vulnerability makes negative or not significant influence. These results show, that in order to strengthen teachers‘ commitment it is crucial to improve collegial leadership and to reduce the influence of institutional vulnerability. The ending of thesis presents conclusions and recommendations on how to strengthen collegial leadership, promote professional teachers‘ behaviour, reduce institutional vulnerability, focus on problematics in keeping membership in Lithuanian general education schools. It is proposed to systematically value organizational climate in order to establish areas for improvement and grade up teachers‘ commitment to organization. Thesis consists of: 20 tables, 1 picture, 2 annexes. Thesis volume – 67 pages. Total amount of used literature sources 151, 112 of which in foreign language.
