Abstract [eng] ANALYSIS OF SUCCESS FACTORS IN BUSINESS PROCESS HARMONISATION 82 pages, 13 pictures, 14 tables, 52 literature sources The aim of the final Master’s thesis: to prepare the model of success factors in business process harmonisation after having performed the analysis of success factors in harmonising business processes. Methods of study: In order to analyse the essence, aspects and issues of harmonisation of business processes, the comparative analysis of scientific literature was carried out. In preparing the categories of possibly decisive factors for success of harmonisation of business processes, the method of synthesis is used by which different opinions of scientists are connected and grouped. Empirical study is carried out by means of methods used in qualitative study: qualitative analysis of data, classification and categorising. The study is based on theory of justification (theory of basis) by choosing a selective method of categorising. The synthesis method of data obtained during the literature analysis and empirical study is used to create the model of success factors in harmonising business processes. Having performed the literature analysis it was found that harmonisation of business processes is the highest level initiative of business processes improvement which most often is applied in large, global organisations. The essence of initiatives of harmonisation is to ensure the cooperation of processes by applying standard decisions or by coordinating as much as possible the differences of operations in this way also ensuring the synergy of process with both internal and external environment of the organisation. During the literature analysis 9 categories of actions having effect on business processes were listed and the conclusion was made that similar categories are also relevant for initiatives of harmonisation of business processes. During the study 29 factors having effect on harmonisation of business processes were determined which were divided into the following categories: strategy and aims, structure of organisation, human resources, physical resources, behaviour of participants, communication and information, methods of work. During the study the importance of factors was not assessed, but the factors that were mentioned the most by respondents and the most discussed factors were related with human resources and their involvement and participation, as well as the need to have a clear goal and the necessity of smooth and transparent communication. Having carried out the case analysis, in-depth interview and synthesis of scientific literature analysis the characteristics of success factors in harmonising were prepared. Having carried out a repeated analysis of the content of the interview, it was established in which stages of harmonisation particular success factors can be observed, the model of success factors in harmonising business processes was prepared. On the basis of the proposed model, the organisations that begin the initiatives of harmonisation can see what factors in particular stages are important and they can plant their operation accordingly. The created model of harmonisation of business processes is not finished and it is likely that if the limits of empirical study are expanded, more factors would be added to it. Key words: business processes, harmonisation of business processes, success factors in harmonising business processes, model of success factors in business processes harmonisation.
