Title of the thesis: Pharmaceutical care service for patients with bronchial astma. The purpose of the research: Evaluation of pharmaceutical care service efficiency in the pharmacy for bronchial asthma pacients. Tasks of the research: Evaluate the effect of pharmaceutical care of patients with asthma control; assess the impact of pharmaceutical care services to patients with asthma inhaler devices; to assess the asthma control effect of pharmaceutical care for patients suffering from asthma; assess the impact of pharmaceutical care for patients suffering from asthma who use inhaler devices; to evaluate the effectiveness of pharmaceutical care services for different groups of patients, depending on the asthma sickness duration time; to evaluate the effectiveness of pharmaceutical care services for different groups of patients, depending on age. Research subject and methods The patients who approach pharmacy with compensated medicines booklets which include compensated prescribed medicines for treatment of asthma, as well as individuals who agreed to participate in the research. It was prepared questionnaire for bronchial asthma patients to fill out and in such way to assess pharmaceutical care service delivery efficiency at the pharmacy for bronchial asthma patients. Also in a pharmacy was provided pharmaceutical care services for pacients with asthma. Results and conclusions of the research: After introduction of the pharmaceutical care services asthma inability to control asthma on average decreased by 2.5 times, the need for salbutamol preparations among patients with asthma decreased by 2.5 times , inhalation technique has improved by 2.25 times, while the inhaling power has improved by 2.6 times. Pharmaceutical care service is most effective in patients who suffer from asthma for up to 2 years ( after introductions of the pharmaceutical care services asthma control in this group decreased by 3.2 times, and salbutamol preparations consumption decreased by 3 times) and patients who suffer from asthma from 2 to 5 years ( after introduction of the pharmaceutical care services, inhalation power in this group improved 2.7 times, while the use of the diveces has improved by 2.6 times). Pharmaceutical care service is most effective for the patients aged under 18 years ( after introduction of the pharmaceutical care services asthma control in this group decreased by 3.5 times, and salbutamol preparations consumption decreased by 3 times) and for patients aged 18-25 years ( after introduction of the pharmaceutical care services to the power of inhalation in this group has improved 3.2 times, and usage of the devices has improved 2.6 times). |
