Tasks of the study: 1. Measure subjects physical and emotional indices before the research. 2. Measure physical and emotional indices in exploratory and control group at the end of the research. 3. Compare physical and emotional indices between exploratory and control groups. Procedure of the study The research took place at the Vilnius University department of rehabilitation, physical and sports medicine in Žirmūnai and Naujoji Vilnia „House, which is waiting“ communities in December in 2015 and ended in August in 2016. Only elderly women participate in the study. The study consisted of a 40 elderly women. Women were divided into two groups: exploratory (n = 20) and control (n = 20). Gymnastics and exercises were adjusted to the control group. Women‘s average age at the control group was 70,30±2,49 (youngest 62, oldest 79) years old. Recreational physical activity based on sports games was adjusted to the exploratory group. Women‘s average age at the exploratory group was 68,00±1,72 (youngest 62, oldest 75) years old. Data analysis was made with MS Excel 2010 program.   Results and conclusions Statistically significant increase was not noticed (p>0,05) in the joint limitation movement amplitude (abduction, vertical flexion, vertical extension, adduction) after the group gymnastics and recreational physical activity based on the sports games in both groups. However, there is a better effect on the join limitation movement amplitude after the group gymnastics. Statistically significant increase was not noticed (p>0,05) in hand grip force and Romberg balance test after the group gymnastics and recreational physical activity based on the sports games in both groups. However, there is a better effect on the hand grip force and Romberg balance test after the group gymnastics. Statistically significant increase was noticed (p<0,05) in H.Rosenberg self-esteem test after the recreational physical activity based on the sports games. The results show that the recreational physical activity based on the sports games has a positive impact on the emotional indices. During the gymnastics, members of the control group were focused on exercises technique and benefits, meanwhile recreational physical activity based on sports games gave more positive emotions to elder women. Members of the exploratory group did not pay much attention to exercise technique. This phenomenon can be seen after the Rosenberg self-esteem test. |
