Comparison of Digital Cartographical Methods in Climatic Maps Metorological environmental specialist while composing the maps used to do it by hand. Until the modern maps of the computerised geograpfic systems production it was a long process. Using interpolation methods operators manual drawings had to be representative and they had a full range of freedom to interpret the present average rainfall, air temperature, or the results of the other phenomena or processes. However, the GIS software has presented a possibility to make this process perhaps fully-automated, but in order to fully rely on computer simulations to confirm whether such a process is sufficiently accurate and visually informative. On this research an operator was chosen who made some maps in the past, consisting of the average means from 1971 to 2000 temperature, rainfall, stormines, and fog climatic maps. These maps were later digitalised that their access should be for the most of users. These maps have been drawn by hand so the main purpose of this work with the data of meteorological stations, respectively, these maps in the GIS environment in the process of interpolation and create replicas of them. Comparison of interpolation methods in digital and fully by automating the process, you can get the same type of representative maps. Exploring nad using this process anyway requires additional interpretations of the operator and the availability of meteorological knowledge. GIS environment mainly used three interpolation methods: idw, spline, kriking. Examine which is the most appropriate method. |
