Abstract [eng] Scheduling Problems Scheduling problems have been dealt with for a long time but better and faster solutions are being looked for even now. This problem has to be solved in various situations: when planning manufacturing, making transport schedules, organizing transportation of production from one place to another, scheduling periods in schools. The aim of this master’s thesis is to review the principles of schedule making in areas of production and teaching, in addition to evaluating the possibilities of three different computer programmes which are designed to create schedules for schools. In the first part of the present work the principles of making a schedule are reviewed, the mathematical models of making school and shop-schedules are being discussed. The mathematical model of school-scheduling is applied for creating a schedule for progymnasium in the second part. The schedules that were generated by three different computer programmes are evaluated based on the aim function used in the model of creating a schedule for school. Alongside with the evaluations of created schedules, notes on the possibilities of computer programmes are provided.
