Daiva Tamulevičienė Vilnius, 2025 SUMMARY 109 pages, 29 tables, 12 pictures, 16 appendices, 114 references, Lithuanian language. The main purpose of this work is to develop a methodology for preparing a company's sustainability strategy financial plan and assess its applicability, following a theoretical analysis of the concept of ESG, the impact of ESG indicators on stakeholders, and the components of the financial plan in the context of a sustainability strategy, using the example of a medical technologies manufacturing company. The work consists of three main parts; the analysis of literature, the research and its results, conclusion and recommendations. The literature review section examines the concept of ESG in the context of sustainability, how the ESG reporting standards system emphasizes the relevance of preparing a company's financial plan, the impact of ESG factors on stakeholders, and the connection of these indicators with the company's situation. This aims to substantiate the importance of ESG in the process of preparing a company's financial plan and analyze the components of the financial plan in the context of a sustainability strategy to determine their role in implementing a company's ESG strategy. Following the scientific literature analysis, a study is conducted. It empirically tests the applicability of the developed methodology for preparing a company's sustainability strategy financial plan, based on a 12-step model, in practice through expert interviews and a case study of a medical technologies manufacturing company. The conclusions summarize the main insights from the literature analysis and consolidate the results of the conducted study. The results of the study could provide useful guidelines for companies seeking to prepare a financial plan for their sustainability strategy and could help those that have already92 developed such a plan to enhance its effectiveness and better integrate sustainability principles into their financial decision-making processes, using insights from the example of a medical technologies manufacturing company. |
